The dopamine substrate currents (IDA – IControl) were determined at different holding potentials (IV curves) in transfected HT22 cells (Fig. 5A). The plot for HT22 cells transfected with DAT exhibited the typical behavior of dopamine transporter currents (Ingram et al., 2002; Sonders et al., 1997),

Increased expression of Glut1 is detected in a number of cancer types including lung [7], brain [8], bladder [9], cervical [10], colorectal [11], esophageal [12], hepatocellular [13], head and neck [14], gastric [15], ovarian [16], renal cell [17], pancreatic [18], thyroid [19] and breast [20]. 2022-02-07

Historically, a role for the prefrontal cortex in spatial working memory has been repeatedly claimed (for review, see Kolb, 1984). Older studies using traditional, non-fibre-sparing lesions (e.g. aspiration lesions) often resulted in spatial alternation deficits. In contrast, more recent studies emp

  2022-02-07

We speculated modulation of redox balance in brain, by activation of GIP receptor pathway. QA is known to mediate production of ROS, lipid peroxidation by its interactions with Fe2+ and formation of QA-Fe2+ complex (Braidy et al., 2010, Rios and Santamaria, 1991, Stipek et al., 1997). QA induces NOS

• The minimal segment of the SIM

  2022-02-07

The minimal segment of the SIM appears to be a core of Rivaroxaban residues, which frequently matches the consensus sequences ΨΨΨΨ, ΨxΨΨ, or ΨΨxΨ (where Ψ is V, I, or L and x is typically D, E, S, or T) [29,31,32]. In a subset of SIMs, this hydrophobic core is flanked by serine residues and a stretc

  2022-02-04

Throughout the last few decades, evidence has accumulated indicating that NTTs, whose primary location is the cell surface, are subject to a series of regulatory processes of intracellular traffic to and from the membrane (Robinson and Jackson, 2016; Vaughan and Foster, 2013). In addition, lateral m

It is notable that pharmacological or genetic inhibition of GCGR signaling results in the engagement of a number of compensatory mechanisms that potentially impact glucose control. These include alpha-cell hyperplasia [2], [11], [12], [13] and increased beta-cell proliferation under low insulin cond

In a previous paper, we demonstrated immunohistochemically the 5104 synthesis of GHSR-1a in acrosomes and peripheral region of spermatid heads as well as in acrosomes of the spermatids undergoing spermiation [19]. The present study was undertaken to demonstrate the GHSR-1a expression in rat epididy

  2022-02-03

Ghrelin is mostly known for its orexigenic properties, whereas the role of DAG on feeding is controversial with studies claiming an orexigenic, anorexigenic or no effect (Inhoff et al, 2009, Toshinai et al, 2006). One of these studies was that of Toshinai and colleagues, who found a link between the

Conclusion Methods Introduction To predict such topologies, several algorithms have been developed. Quadparser (QP), developed by the Balasubramanian group have taken an approach where sequences matching G≥nN≤mG≥nN≤mG≥nN≤mG≥n model in which the lengths of G-tracts are at least n and lengths

  2022-02-03

The canonical tumor suppressor p53 has also been implicated as a transcriptional mediator of ferroptotic death (Jiang et al., 2015, Tarangelo et al., 2018, Wang et al., 2016, Xie et al., 2017). Specifically, p53 negatively regulates transcription of SLC7A11, the cystine-glutamate antiporter (Xc-) (J
