• The chemical structure of BAs consists of a steroid

  2022-06-18

The chemical structure of BAs consists of a steroid nucleus with an acidic side chain. They are amphipatic molecules characterized by a hydrophilic α-face and a hydrophobic β-face. The hydrophobic pocket of the FXR LBD interacts with BAs largely through the β-face. The α-face contains several hydrox

  2022-06-18

To obviate the mitogenic FGF19 activity, several engineered FGF19 variants have been generated aiming to maintain the metabolic activity excluding the protumorigenic ones. One variant, M70, that differs from wild-type FGF19 by 5-amino acids deletion at the N-terminus and the substitution of 3-amino

  2022-06-18

Recently, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Merck reported their GPR40 agonist research focused on the modification of α,β-position of phenylpropionic Z-VEID-FMK mg derivatives. For example, in recent published patent applications, Bristol-Myers Squibb claimed the pyrrolidine and dihydropyrazole GPR40 agoni

• Several classes of small molecule inhibitors of FBPase

  2022-06-18

Several gsk525762 of small-molecule inhibitors of FBPase have been reported. These inhibitors can be structurally classified into two groups; non-phosphorus-based inhibitors and phosphorus-based inhibitors. In the former group, several chemotypes including anilinoquinazoline, indole dicarboxylic ac

  2022-06-18

A species-specific diverse number of FPPS genes are present in insect genomes (Zhang and Li, 2008, Cusson et al., 2006). The genome of the yellow fever mosquito Aedes aegypti contains a single FPPS gene (AaFPPS) that is highly expressed in the CA (Nouzova et al., 2011). FPPS catalytic activity in th

  2022-06-18

Trifluoromethyl ketones and fluorophosphates were the first generation FAAH inhibitors identified. They showed good in vitro FAAH inhibition potency, but most of them exhibited poor selectivity for FAAH over other serine hydrolases (such as the triacylglycerol hydrolase and the membrane-associated h

• To enhance the impact of GD as an immune target

  2022-06-18

To enhance the impact of GD2 as an immune target in this cancer, we investigated a novel strategy to upregulate expression on the cell surface of EwS cells by an epigenetic agent, based on the following rationale. Biosynthesis of GD2 and other gangliosides during organ development is driven by stage

In the CNS, alpha adrenergic blockers is known to regulate sleep and wakefulness, learning and memory, feeding, and energy. Here, we address its actions in relation to CNS disorders, and emphasize potential clinical applications of histamine receptor ligands (Table 1). In addition, as the effect of

  2022-06-18

Introduction Histamine [2-(4-Imidazolyl)-ethylamine] is an important mediator of many physiological and pathological processes including inflammation, gastric TPCA-1 secretion, neuromodulation, regulation of immune function, cell proliferation and differentiation, among others. Histamine exerts it

  2022-06-18

A nitric oxide donor, glyceryl-trinitrite, and the substrate for nitric oxide, l-arginine, have been used to treat preterm labor. However, these studies are preliminary. The beneficial effect of nitric oxide donors needs to be confirmed by more controlled studies. The probable pitfall of using nitri
